This way you can use Classic Shell to only change the start button (and miss all the rest nice features).

Right click on the top of the window and click Classic Explorer bar. If you don't want them at all, close the settings and right-click next to the buttons, then click on Classic Explorer Bar and reply yes when asked to disable it.

If you are unwilling to install 3rd Party software. Check the Show all settings box to show all tabs and go to Toolbar buttons tab where you can add/remove buttons. Unfortunately Microsoft has since patched the icon registry key. Similarly, open an explorer window, such as This PC and click on the shell icon to open Classic Explorer settings. Click Quit, and then run again as administrator. If you don’t run it as an administrator, you may see the following warning. With a tool like Restorator it will be possible to create an alternative explorer.exe file, which you can deploy to your clients.

The Orb-icons are located in the explorer.exe file. If you cannot find these settings, check the Show all settings box to show all tabs. Once this is finished, run the Windows 7 Start Button Changer as administrator by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. I doubt that this can be done by using a registry setting. To see the Windows 10 menu select Windows start menu for "Left click opens" and "Windows key opens". You can change that so when pressing the Win button or click on the start button you see the original Windows 10 start menu instead of the Windows 7 style.
